A draft on the concept of “corruption offense” was submitted to the State Duma

As noted, changes to Art. 1 of the Federal Law "On Combating Corruption" is introduced by a member of the Federation Council Alexei Alexandrov.

According to the text of the document, it is proposed to understand a corruption offense as “an act possessing signs of corruption for which criminal, administrative, civil or disciplinary liability has been established by the legislation of the Russian Federation”.

According to the authors, the consolidation of the definition will contribute to the improvement of legal regulation in the field of combating corruption.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia reported that in 2019, 140,379 corruption violations were identified.
