Wallin and Virtanen - this happened

In connection with the metoo movement that shook many of the world's countries in the fall of 2017, the writer Cissi Wallin posted on Instagram on 16 October. She wrote:

“The powerful media man who drugged and raped me in 2006 is Fredrik Virtanen. I registered in 2011, only then did I dare and dare. But have not dared or ventured out. Until now. Because nobody has missed the #HarveyWeinstein-gate. ”

To SVT News, Cissi Wallin said:

- I've lived with this silence and shame for eleven years. Although many knew about his behavior. Why did you do nothing? Why did you say nothing?

After Cissi Wallin 2011 police reported Fredrik Virtanen for, among other things, rape, a preliminary investigation was initiated, which was closed in 2012. When she went out with his name in the fall of 2017, Aftonbladet launched its own internal investigation. Meanwhile, Fredrik Virtanen took time out.

On October 25, he pronounces for the first time on the charges in his own newspaper and admits that he has behaved "tall and dirty", but denies that he would have been guilty of rape. He writes in a text message to SVT News that he had to leave the country because of a murder threat.

On October 29, Aftonbladet's political editor Karin Pettersson decides to petition Fredrik Virtanen as a columnist on the newspaper's editorial page. Finally, on December 9, Aftonbladet announces that the newspaper and Fredrik Virtanen have agreed in consultation that he will quit his employment.

At the beginning of 2018, police officer Fredrik Virtanen reports Cissi Wallin for gross indecency and a prosecutor opens an investigation. On March 8, 2018, he writes to SVT News:

- Every day innocent people are identified online by people with personal agendas and selfish motives. A society breaks down with parallel courts. On the one hand, a judicial system, on the other a lynching justice who hangs people out and arbitrarily judges the opinions and trends of the time. I am deeply grateful that the state takes the problem seriously and hopes that justice will eventually be shipped.

In August 2019, Cissi Wallin writes on the Gardet site that she has been told by her lawyer that she will be prosecuted for gross defamation.
