“Ambassador Bolton will meet with President Lukashenko and Foreign Minister (Vladimir) Makei to discuss regional security issues and emphasize US support for the sovereignty and independence of Belarus,” the statement said.
Earlier, Bolton said that he would visit Belarus and Moldova on August 29, and then go to Poland.
The Kremlin called Bolton’s visit to Minsk the sovereign affair of Belarus.
