“We are watching with great attention the reset of power in Ukraine, but I want to remind you of Putin’s statement, which said that it will be possible to judge by specific cases, by specific words,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

As an example of specific cases, Peskov cited a court ruling in Kiev on the release of journalist Kirill Vyshinsky.

“We welcome this. Let's wait for others, ”he added.

He also noted that Moscow expects the Ukrainian side to normalize bilateral relations and "everything that needs to be done for this normalization."

“First of all, of course, a well-known set of actions, a set of actions fixed on paper, necessary for the implementation of the Minsk agreements,” he said.

On August 28, a Ukrainian court released Vyshinsky from custody under personal guarantee.

The Russian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the release of the journalist, called for complete acquittal on all counts of the charges against Vyshinsky.

As noted in the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the change in the preventive measure against Vyshinsky took place in preparation for the exchange.
