Exchange of opinions on “recruitment” and “export control” to the Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Seoul, August 29, 12:19

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director-General Kansugi Asia and Oceania will meet with the Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea in Seoul on the afternoon of 29th. In addition to the concerns of Japan and South Korea, such as issues related to “recruitment” during the Pacific War and measures related to export control, it is expected to exchange opinions on responses to North Korea.

The Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kim Sugi, will start a discussion with the Director of Asia-Pacific Director Kim Jong-han at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Seoul from around 2pm on the 29th.

In discussions, the Japanese side is expected to ask the Korean side to urgently correct the violation of international law on the issue of “recruitment” during the Pacific War.

On the other hand, the Korean side is expected to call for withdrawal of measures that Japan has excluded from the preferential export control countries.

Mr. Kim Sugisu will meet with Lee Dae Hoon (Director of Li Deung), the head of peace negotiations on the Korean peninsula, and exchange opinions on the response to North Korea. It will be noticed what will be done.
