Jens Henriksson about the job as CEO: "Could not say no"

When in April he was asked about the position he said it was not relevant, but when he got the offer now he could not say no. Jens Henriksson says that after he was presented by Göran Persson.

- It's hard, it's important, and it's fun. Swedbank works a lot with the savings process, loan process and transactions, and all of them I have seen from many different parts, he says.

Jens Henriksson sat in Swedbank's nomination committee when Göran Persson was elected chairman, and when Göran Persson now presented him as CEO, some eyebrows were raised.

- It was an agreed nomination committee that proposed the changes that took place on the board, but it was Swedbank's meeting that decided who would sit on Swedbank's board, not the nomination committee, says Jens Henriksson.
