Up to 600 of Eon's customers in the Eksjö area remained without power during the storm. The reason was partly the thunder but also the downed trees.
The rescue service in Jönköping received several alarms about lightning strikes. Among other things, a villa in Norrhammar should have been smoked and a tree in Barnarp south of Jönköping caught fire after the lightning struck.
Even in Hakarp, a pillar of smoke should have been visible, caused by the lightning. And in Kvillsfors in Vetlanda municipality, a lightning strike must have caused a fire in a tree.
The Swedish Transport Administration reports on problems in train traffic after the storm. Among other things, delays and canceled trains will affect the distance between Alvesta and Nässjö.
