Crisis helps former criminals return to society, a work they are often praised for. But earlier this summer, the association's president, Paul Barath, was forced out of his post for information that he must have offended female members.

- There are reports from female members, fragile girls, Acting Chairman Germay Woldu tells SVT.

Police and prosecutors have launched a preliminary investigation, but Paul Barath says he has not done anything criminal.

- It's about a power struggle where people want my position, he says.

According to Paul Barath, there are other representatives of Kris who have committed at least as serious errors.

- There are so many irregularities that occur within the crisis.

Examined email charges

The Prison and Probation Service has received e-mails stating that named Crisis representatives must be guilty of crime, including that they have smuggled narcotics into establishments.

- We took immediate action by activating our security organization to evaluate the information, says Vilhelm Grevik, section manager at the Prison and Probation Service.

The authority sent out an information letter to the institutions, but stated that the security department's investigation did not provide any support for the allegations of drug smuggling.

The situation in Kris has led to the Prison Service calling Kris a meeting, which was held yesterday and will be followed up in September.

Kris is holding an annual meeting for the weekend.

- We have a confidence step and will be looking at how to rebuild Kris now, says Germay Woldu.
