Announcement of support for business call for solutions to African issues.

In line with the TICAD = African Development Conference, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology announced a policy to support the necessary costs by publicly recruiting projects to address African issues at meetings with the ministers in charge of science and technology in each country.

Shibayama Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology attended a meeting with the ministers in charge of science and technology in 17 African countries in conjunction with the TICAD = African Development Conference, which opened in Yokohama on the 28th.

In this, Minister Shibayama said, “Science and technology innovation and human resource development are important elements in order to achieve Africa's self-reform goals and SDGs = sustainable development goals.”

Minister Shibayama then announced that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and South African research support organizations jointly solicited projects to address African issues such as drought due to climate change, and supported the necessary costs.
