Clarisse Agbegnenou (-63 kg), looking for a fourth world crown, qualified for the final at the expense of the Dutch Juul Franssen, by waza-ari, at the World Judo Championships, Tuesday in Tokyo, at a year of the Olympics 2020 in the Japanese capital.

Agbegnenou is only a victory to become, at 26, the first French judoka quadruple world champion (ahead of Decosse, Emane and Deydier, crowned three times).

In the final, the 2016 Olympic vice champion and four-time European champion, N.1 world and unbeaten for twenty months, will face the Japanese Miku Tashiro, N.3 world and vice-world champion outgoing.

Earlier in the day, Agbegnenou had not been immersed on the Japanese carpet: she had sent two of her first fights in less than fifteen seconds (against Schlesinger and Liao), and the third in just over a minute ( against Awiti Alcaraz).

Agbegnenou is therefore sure to bring to the French team his first medal of the Tokyo week, the fourth day of competition in the illustrious Nippon Budokan, which will host the Olympic judo events next summer.
