The disciplinary bodies of the Professional Football League on Wednesday inflicted on the club Nancy (L2) the suspension of his Piantoni stand for a firm match, because of the homophobic songs that led to a brief interruption of the match against Le Mans on 16 August.

This interruption was a first in France, while the authorities of football want to reinforce the sanctions in this matter. The decision of the League comes after a night of Ligue 1 disturbed by homophobic incidents and an interruption of ten minutes during Nice-Marseille.

Nancy has been sanctioned for songs of "discriminatory character" of her supporters. The referee Mehdi Mokhtari interrupted the meeting briefly, while the government and football authorities want to strengthen the fight against homophobia in stadiums.

The AC Ajaccio club, still in Ligue 2, is sentenced to a suspension of its platform Faedda a match for "discriminatory songs" targeting the "French" in a match against Le Havre.

The other cases examined by the League are "insulting remarks" and have resulted in a simple call to order.
