- It is a fire in a larger property, an older brick villa. We have been on site and worked with smoke divers, says Patrik Nilsson, internal commander at the rescue service Syd.
The building was previously used as a school but now houses apartments. According to the emergency services, the fire is not under control.
- The initial fire should be extinguished, but we are working to tear down both the inside and the outside to access the fire that has spread to the walls and the ceiling and to vent fire gases, says Patrik Nilsson.
The rescue services assess that at the time of writing there is no risk of spread to other buildings. There is an ambulance on site but no one has been taken to hospital.
- We have no information on any injured. When the alarm came to us it was talked about that there would be dogs in the house but there is nothing we have any further information about, says Patrik Nilsson.
