28 August 2019The British government will ask the Queen to suspend Parliament a few days after the return of parliamentarians from the summer break and only a few weeks before the expiration of Brexit on 31 October, the BBC reports.

The new administration of Boris Johnson, writes the broadcaster, aims to hold a Queen's Speech on October 14 in which the monarch would present the government's future plans. This also means that MPs would hardly have enough time to block a 'no deal' wanted by the prime minister.
