In Turkey, a 12-year-old girl from Russia died in a hospital, who suffered in the pool of one of the hotels. This was reported by Alice's father in his profile on social networks.

“At the beginning of the fourth, Aliska died. <...> To everyone who was nearby. Thanks for the help, for the support. We need to somehow live on, ”he said. He later posted another post.

“We know that life goes on, but our life will never be the same as before,” he wrote on his page on the social network Vkontakte.

The Russian embassy in Ankara said that the girl's heart stopped, despite the attempts of Turkish doctors to resuscitate. According to RIA Novosti, diplomats expressed their condolences to parents, relatives and friends.

Recall that the accident occurred on August 18 at the Sunhill Hotel in Bodrum. The child’s hand was sucked into the pool pipe. The girl’s father ducked to her aid, but Alice managed to get out only after the water pump was stopped. In order to take the child out of the water, I had to remove the pool lining. This required the efforts of seven men.

Alice was taken to the Bodrum hospital by ambulance, later she was transferred to the intensive care unit of the state clinic in Denizli. Russian doctors arrived in the country to help Turkish colleagues.

According to media reports, the girl’s parents expired a trip, but the tour operator paid for the stay of Russians in Turkey for another week and provided them with housing near the hospital.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the Turkish authorities to provide maximum assistance to the injured child. This was stated by the official representative of the diplomatic department, Maria Zakharova.

“The Russian Embassy in Turkey, the Consulate General in Antalya are doing everything possible to help the injured girl and parents. In touch with the administration of St. Petersburg, the Ministry of Health of Russia (Oleg Salagay). A video conference should be held tomorrow to decide on the possibility of evacuation. Everything and everything is charged, ”Zakharova wrote in her Facebook profile.

It was assumed that in the absence of complications the girl would be transported to Russia by the Ministry of Emergencies, but later this idea had to be abandoned due to the deterioration of her condition.

As the doctors specified three days after the incident, the child had survived a clinical death several times. According to doctors, the girl could not even be transported within the hospital.

“There really was a clinical death, four times for sure,” Vladimir Kopylov, chief non-staff specialist for children, anesthetist-resuscitator of the St. Petersburg Health Committee, told RIA Novosti. He noted that the condition of the child remains “extremely difficult and unstable,” adding that it was a “deep, one might even say, prohibitive coma.”

Russia will follow the investigation

The Russian consulate announced its readiness to provide all necessary assistance to return the child’s body to their homeland. This was stated by the press attaché of the Russian embassy in Ankara, Irina Kasimova. She also added that diplomats will continue to monitor the investigation of the incident.

“We hope that the Turkish justice will establish the circle of persons guilty of this tragedy, and they will suffer the deserved punishment,” RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the employees of the hotel where the incident occurred were detained and placed on bail. However, the girl’s mother told the agency that the pool in which the accident occurred continued to work for the remaining vacationers. However, she clarified that it was decided not to sell new tickets to this hotel.

It is noted that the girl was insured according to the standard policy of traveling abroad with a limit of € 30 thousand.

“Consent” will fully pay for all the treatment and repatriation to the motherland, as well as the return of the girl’s parents to Russia. Repatriation will be carried out in the next few days, after processing all the documents that the employees of the service company will take part in with the participation of representatives of the Russian embassy in Turkey, ”RIA Novosti quotes the company.
