In Torvalla, Östersund, two multi-family houses have been barred after police earlier today found what they describe as a suspicious dangerous object in an apartment on Skogsbruksvägen.

The police are now awaiting the national bomb protection group. The bomb protection group works all over Sweden and it is unclear what time they can be expected to arrive at Östersund.

"I have no information on when, but hopefully they will come tonight," says Marie Andersson at the regional regional police.

The church in Torvalla is open to people who do not know where to go because two multi-family houses have been evacuated while waiting for the police bomb protection group.

- There are about 30 evacuees and they have been informed that they will find somewhere else to sleep tonight, says Marie Andersson. If they do not have somewhere they can sleep they should go to church it will arrange with beds for everyone.

Ridwan Anwar is one of those who had to leave their apartment.

- A friend called and said it was full of cops here and when I got home the police said we had to pick up some things and then leave the apartment. he says. Now I will stay with a friend.
