Doctors of the City Clinical Hospital No. 1 (City Clinical Hospital No. 1) of Nizhny Tagil withdrew the letter of resignation, RT told the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region. Earlier it became known that six surgeons of the hospital decided to quit at once.

As the doctors themselves told reporters, in this way they decided to draw the attention of the authorities to their problems. So, according to the head of the surgical department of the City Clinical Hospital No. 1, Yuri Izoteyev, his subordinates are tired of constant high loads, frequent night shifts and a lack of specialists in diagnostics.

The physician noted that the problems began two years ago after the redistribution of the workload on specialists among city hospitals.

Now on the institution’s website you can find a list of specialists necessary for the hospital as of July 1, 2019. Only one surgeon was required at the hospital, the salary is from 34,280 to 75,000 rubles, with a bonus of 7% for dangerous or especially difficult working conditions. The real salary of the surgeon in the RT hospital was refused.

However, earlier in an interview with local reporters, one of the hospital’s surgeons Nikita Zotov told local journalists that his salary was only 22 thousand rubles, and doctors earn mostly on duty.

It is worth noting that at the beginning of August in Nizhny Tagil surgeons of another institution, the Demidov Hospital, began to be massively fired. They also complained about the high loads and the terrible state of the building.

At the same time, the dismissal of surgeons from the Demidov hospital just led to an increase in the flow of patients to City Clinical Hospital No. 1. If the surgeons had left the first hospital, the whole burden would fall on the fourth.

The situation has attracted the attention of federal and local authorities. According to local media, the Minister of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region, Andrei Tsvetkov, was summoned from vacation. The governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev convened a special meeting on August 27.

He commissioned a sociological study to find out if the Urals are satisfied with the quality of medical services, and doctors and nurses with their working conditions and wages. In addition, the governor ordered the relevant departments to immediately develop an updated regional program for the development of primary health care in the Sverdlovsk region.

“I believe that the situation with the dismissal of surgeons in Nizhny Tagil has developed, first of all, due to the increased load on specialists and miscalculations in the organization of work of medical institutions in the field. At the same time, an important reason, in my opinion, is the insufficient staffing both on the part of the chief doctors of Tagil hospitals and the regional ministry of health, ”said Kuyvashev.

In turn, the situation with the mass dismissal of doctors interested law enforcement agencies. On August 28, representatives of the regional prosecutor's office met with the chief doctors of the hospitals of Nizhny Tagil.

As told RT RT senior assistant prosecutor of the Sverdlovsk region Marina Kanatova, the department plans to conduct an audit in order to identify the working conditions of doctors.

“Today, our staff met with hospital leaders,” said RT Kanatova. - The verification has begun, the results will be later. The doctors who wrote the letter of resignation complained about the high workload, inadequate wages and lack of specialists in diagnostics. According to them, in such conditions there is a high risk of medical error when 10 night shifts per month, after which you need to go out another day. The agency will understand and see how this is true. It will also be checked how salaries and incentive payments are charged to doctors. ”

Konstantin Shestakov, spokesman for the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region, told RT that doctors at City Clinical Hospital No. 1 had withdrawn their applications for dismissal.

“At the moment, all surgeons of the City Clinical Hospital No. 1 have withdrawn their applications for dismissal,” Shestakov said. “An inspection is being carried out, the results will be in two weeks.” In the Demidov hospital, the problem with surgeons was solved earlier. All necessary medical assistance is provided to citizens in urban facilities in full. ”

In turn, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation published a report saying that a commission of the Federal Ministry of Health and the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund are working in Nizhny Tagil, which will have to conduct a thorough analysis of the precedent.

“In addition, two new surgeons are being admitted to the institution from 09/02/2019, as well as specialists from the Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 SBIH and clinical residents. A stimulating payment will be made for the increased workload for surgeons for July and August. During the explanatory conversation, five surgeons overturned the decision to dismiss, another 1 is on vacation, ”the report said.

GKB No. 1 itself could not promptly respond to RT's comment, citing the checks that had begun at the institution and the large number of media requests.
