At 17.38 the police were alerted to a shop on Karl Hovberggatan in the Eskilstuna neighborhood of Skiftinge.
Guardsmen had arrested two people on suspicion of stealing goods in the store. One of the men had been handcuffed, police say on his website.
One man is in his 45s and the other 30s and they have been taken to the police station in Eskilstuna.
What the men should have stolen in the shop is unclear.
