August 27th 2019Shown in the investigation into the tragic death of Andrea Zamperoni but many points remain to be clarified. Angelina Barini, the prostitute arrested in New York in the investigation into the death of the chef, would be involved in the death of at least two other "clients" to whom she would have given, during alleged encounters with her, the same dose of drug containing fentanyl that would have been revealed fatal to Zamperoni. This is what the New York Post website writes, citing law enforcement sources and judicial documents.

Zamperoni was found dead last week at Kamway Lodge & Tavern in Elmhurst, Queens. According to the newspaper, Barini is suspected of having killed two other people with deadly mixtures of synthetic opiates, presumably combined with methamphetamine and cocaine.

The woman, who was arrested last week, appeared in court yesterday wearing a sweater and gray trousers. Responding to the questions of the judge who questioned her, he said only "yes, sir" and "yes, your honor".

One of the other two victims on which investigators' suspicions are concentrated was named Jean-Alessandro Silvero and died in a motel in Woodside on 11 July due to fentanyl poisoning. The identity of the third victim is still unknown.

The reconstruction of the last hours of Zamperoni
Druged deadly by a prostitute, probably with liquid ecstasy, and left wrapped in a sheet for three days: he died this way, in the room of a squalid Queens hostel, Andrea Zampironi, 33, head chef of Cipriani Dolci in New York, the Grand Central restaurant. The New York police solved a crime that lasted over a week, from the death of the young man on August 17th to the discovery of his body last Wednesday, with no apparent signs of violence, until yesterday's arrest.

Ending up in handcuffs was 41-year-old Angelina Barini, known as a prostitute and now accused of having provided fatal overdoses to three men, including Zamperoni himself, during their appointments in a very low-class hotel in New York. Overdoses of drugs and / or narcotics, including the powerful opioid fentanyl. Within a week, two of them died but the woman and her protector would continue to drug their clients and even rob them once they were no longer able to react, according to the indictments.

The first death dates back to July 4th at the Astoria hotel in Queens, where the woman was captured by the video camera while leaving the room after the crime. The victim died of a lethal cocktail of alcohol, methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl. The second death occurred on 11 July, when a man was found dead from an overdose of fentanyl in another hotel in Queens, where Barini was filmed again by video cameras. The third victim is Zamperoni, found dead on the first floor of the Kamway Lodge, a hostel in Queens a few blocks from his home, poorly attended and known by the police for his drug and prostitution tours.

In this case the woman was in the room with the corpse when the police knocked on her by night on August 21st, looking for the missing chef for several days. The complaint was made after Zamperoni had not made the usual weekly phone call to his mother in Italy and had not shown up at work, where he was always on time.

"When they entered, the agents felt a strong smell compatible with that of a dead body and burned incense," wrote one of the investigators in the report. "In one corner of the room the agents noticed what looked like a dustbin full of sheets and a bare foot sticking out," reads the indictment, which identifies the man with an initials but whose details match those of the chef.

The woman, who was half-naked, had been taken to the barracks that night. In the interrogation, she claimed that she was not responsible and summoned her protector. To make it all more gruesome is the fact that, according to the first findings, Zamperoni would have died on Sunday 18 August, the day after his disappearance: his body would therefore have remained there for three days. The toxicological tests have not yet been deposited and therefore the cause of death is not official but to kill the chef would have been an overdose of liquid ecstasy.
