Civilian casualties, including children, have been caused by Russian and Syrian regime raids on several towns in the countryside of Idlib in northwestern Syria, which also caused extensive destruction of buildings and property. Al-Jazeera correspondent said that the opposition forces bombed the city of Khan Sheikhoun for the first time since the regime took control of it last Wednesday.

Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that four civilians, including two children, were killed and others were injured in Russian raids on residential neighborhoods in the towns of Seqla and Maaret Harma in the southern countryside of Idlib.He added that other Syrian regime airstrikes targeted several towns in the eastern countryside of Idlib and caused extensive destruction of buildings and property.

The observation tracked the movement of air traffic of the opposition on his accounts on social networking sites, that the Russian airstrikes targeted villages Bqqla and Maarat Harmah and Kfarsjnh and Kfarwaid and Hesh and Sufohen and Ihsam and Tahl countryside Idlib, and the village of Alkabinah countryside Lattakia.

Targeting Khan Sheikhoun

The Syrian regime announced the resumption of military operations in the region, despite its declaration of commitment to a cease-fire during the Astana talks held earlier this month.
