Seven people suspected of having participated in robberies of two footballers Paris SG in December 2018, for damages of several hundred thousand euros, were indicted Monday and six of them were imprisoned, has we learned Tuesday from judicial source.

Six men and a woman, aged 25 to 29, were arrested Thursday by the Brigade of the repression of the banditism (BRB) in Paris, in Seine-Saint-Denis and in the Hauts-de-Seine, according to a source close to investigation. One of them was already incarcerated.

They were indicted Monday, including for "organized robbery" and "participation in a criminal conspiracy for the preparation of a crime," according to the judicial source. Six of them were placed in pre-trial detention, while the seventh was released under judicial supervision, in accordance with the prosecution's submissions.

They are suspected in all five burglaries "in the beautiful neighborhoods" of the capital. The last one dates back to the night of August 20th to 21st. A member of the Saudi royal family, missing from his 6th arrondissement apartment, was stolen jewelry and luxury watches for an estimated 1.8 million euros.

The BRB investigators also suspect them of burglary in the same street a few days earlier. The team would also be the author of two break-ins a few days apart at the end of December 2018 this time with two players from PSG, the Cameroonian Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and the Brazilian Thiago Silva.

On December 22, the Brazilian defender was robbed at his home in the sixteenth arrondissement while playing a Ligue 1 match against Nantes. The damage was assessed at 600,000 euros. Two days later, it was the Cameroonian striker who had been the victim of a burglary at his Paris home for damage estimated at one million euros.

Again, the thieves had taken advantage of PSG playing against Liverpool to break into the footballer's apartment.

In house searches of suspects, who were already known to the police, jewelry, luxury leather goods, money and weapons were found.
