“We hope that the presidents will have the opportunity to talk in Warsaw as part of the events marking the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II,” Bolton quoted the European Truth publication.

He also said that he was optimistic about the negotiations in Warsaw, despite the lack of official confirmation of the meeting of leaders.

Bolton arrived in Kiev for the first time since the election of Zelensky as president of Ukraine. The American embassy said that his visit underscored the United States support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and its Euro-Atlantic path.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry was involved in the process of preparing a meeting of US and Ukrainian leaders in Warsaw, in which leaders can sign a number of documents.
