Earlier, Trump said that he refused to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif on the sidelines of the G7, as this would be premature.
Zarif flew into Biarritz on the evening of August 25 and held talks with French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian, as well as French leader Emmanuel Macron.
