The man, who has been remanded in custody since August 9 on suspicion of extremely serious assault and serious weapons crime, will remain in the custody, Västmanland District Court announced on Monday.
The court believes that he should continue to be detained because there is a risk that the suspect can remove evidence or continue his criminal activities.
He has also previously been arrested for attempted murder, but in light of what has been reported so far, the district court considers that he can no longer be detained on probable grounds for attempted murder.
The indictment is due by September 6, 2019
