According to him, Ilyushin, by order of the Ministry, has been developing a deeply modernized An-124-100M military transport aircraft since 2017.
Manturov said that, among other things, on-board electronic equipment and general aircraft systems are being modernized.
“The implementation of these measures will make it possible to consider the An-124 aircraft“ Russian ”in the near future,” he said.
According to him, the protection of the technical project for the modernized aircraft is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2019. Manturov said that the work is being carried out in accordance with the plans.
In January, it was reported that the Ukrainian enterprise Antonov intends to resume production of the An-124 Ruslan aircraft.
