These are the last hours of the G7 summit in Biarritz. The leaders American, British, German, French, Italian, Japanese and Canadian will separate in the afternoon after a series of press conferences.

The aftermath of the Iranian Foreign Minister's surprise visit to Biarritz continues to shake up the G7. " I was aware of everything he did and I approved; I told him go! ". It is in these terms that Donald Trump reacted on Monday, August 26 in the morning to the surprise meeting organized by Emmanuel Macron yesterday with the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif. Gafa tax agreement?

This morning, the G7 leaders expanded their discussions to other invited countries to talk about climate, biodiversity and oceans. Forest fires in the Amazon are present in all minds. Even before the opening of the summit, Emmanuel Macron had evoked the call of the forest and the call of the oceans, promising concrete actions. We have just learned that the G7 is unblocking emergency assistance to send Canadair planes to fight fires in the Amazon.
