"I don't consider him disrespectful," Trump commented.

On the burning issue of duties Trump said that China "wants to make an agreement" with the US: it was the American president himself who announced it, stressing that "it is a great thing". "China called our people responsible for trade last night and said they would return to the negotiating table," he added, celebrating Chinese President Xi Jinping as a "great leader."
