26 August 201921.19 The cartoonist Massimo Mattioli died. He was 75, he died in Rome after a brief illness. Pinky, Pasquino the netturbino, Joe Galaxy and Squeak the Mouse are among his most famous characters. He has won numerous Italian and international awards. He ranged from the underground to the adventures for children. He worked in London, drawing cartoons for "Mayfair", then in Paris for "Pif". He returned to Italy in the seventies, collaborates with Paese Sera, Il Giornalino and is co-founder of the Cannibale and Frigidaire magazines.
