Prime Minister Abe met with the Chilean president in France, where he visited, and expressed his expectation for the early completion of Chile's domestic procedures in light of the fact that the TPP = Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement came into effect last year.
In line with the G7 Summit held in France at the seven major summits, Prime Minister Abe had a second meeting since November last November with Chile's President Pinella.
Chile is a TPP member, and Prime Minister Abe expressed his expectation for the early completion of Chile's domestic procedures at the meeting, taking into account that TPP came into effect last year.
The two leaders also promoted bilateral cooperation in measures against aging societies and science and technology, and confirmed the strengthening of cooperation with the Pacific Alliance consisting of four countries: Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Peru. .
