A military spokesman for the Houthis in Yemen said that the movement fired 10 ballistic missiles "Badr-1" on the airport in Saudi Arabia.

He added that the attack killed and wounded dozens, and described the spokesman of the movement as "the largest operation of the missile force with ballistic medium weapons since the beginning of the aggression."

For its part, the Saudi Press Agency quoted a spokesman for the Saudi-UAE coalition as saying that the coalition intercepted and destroyed six ballistic missiles fired towards the Kingdom.

"Coalition forces managed to intercept and destroy six ballistic missiles fired by the Houthi terrorist militia from Saada province (Yemen) on Sunday evening in an attempt to target the city of Jizan," coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said in a statement.

Al-Maliki considered the continued attempts of the Houthi group to target civilian objects and civilians "reflects the size of the losses of its fighters and materiel, in light of the continuing military operations," stressing continued to address them.

During the past few days, the Houthis have announced their targeting of Abha airport by drones, while the coalition declares that these aircraft are confronted and destroyed.
