Spaniard Marcos Ramirez won Sunday the Grand Prix of Great Britain Moto3 category but it is the Italian Lorenzo Dalla Porta who makes the good deal in the championship taking off with his 3rd place.

Ramirez, 21, won his second Moto3 victory after Catalunya in June and beat Italy's Tony Arbolino. Dalla Porta is 3rd and thus distance to the championship the Spaniard Aron Canet who fell and could not do better than 13th after having left.

Arrived at Silverstone with only one point ahead of Canet, Dalla Porta left with 14.

"It was a very good day, I had a very good pace and in the last laps my rear tire was too worn, but that's important for the championship," said the Italian.

"We will see what will happen in the next races," said the winner Marcos Ramirez who, even if distanced in the championship where he is 55 points Dalla Porta, believes he can still defend his chances while there are 7 races remaining.

Tony Arbolino, who was in pole position, was happy with his 2nd place, which enabled him to consolidate his podium in the championship (3rd) but felt himself victim of the team race of the two drivers of the Leopard team, Ramirez and Dalla Porta.

The Japanese manufacturer Honda has arrived to place his machines in the first 7 places at Silverstone and ahead ahead of the constructors' championship the Austrian KTM.
