“The Kochubeyevsky interdistrict investigative department of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Stavropol Territory opened a criminal case in connection with the death of a 24-year-old woman during childbirth in the Andropov district hospital under Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Causing death by negligence”) ”, - stated in the statement.
According to the investigation, the woman was hospitalized in the obstetric and gynecological department of the hospital in connection with the upcoming birth. On August 15, she underwent a cesarean section, after which the condition of the woman in childbirth worsened significantly and on the morning of August 16 she died.
“According to preliminary data from the forensic medical examination, the cause of her death was amniotic fluid embolism,” the UK noted.
Investigation into the incident continues.
