Another Korean was arrested trying to sneak gold at New Delhi International Airport.

According to local media, including Times of India today, Korean men in their 30s who arrived at New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport on flights from Hong Kong on the 21st were worth 19 million rupees. They were caught by customs authorities to smuggle gold.

At the time, the man tried to avoid customs eyes by turning gold into mechanical parts in the shape of a lobe, but was caught with gold embedded inside the motor.

A customs official said, "105 gold spinners have been found." The total weight is 5.5 kg and the market price is 19 million rupees.

Customs say the man smuggled gold into India in the same way in the past, but was not found.

Indian authorities will investigate further to determine whether to prosecute the Koreans.

When the charge is filed, the man is tried in India. Even if released on bail, leaving the country is prohibited until the trial is finished.

Last month, a Korean woman in her 50s was caught trying to sneak seven gold bars worth 24 million rupees from New Delhi International Airport.

The gold smuggling organization has been reported to lure Koreans as a means of smuggling gold, exploiting the fact that entry screening is not difficult for Korean passport holders.

India is one of the world's largest consumer of gold, importing 700 to 800 tons of gold each year. Many people buy gold for investment purposes as well as exchange gold at weddings and other events.

In recent years, demand has risen to the point where gold in India reaches a record high of 37,600 rupees per 10 grams.
