The body of a journalist was found in the Tejupilco municipality, about 122 kilometers from Mexico City. According to interest group Reporters Without Borders, this is the 42-year-old man Nevith Condes Jaramilo, who led a local news site.

Jaramilo had published stories for the local news site El Observatoria del Sur, which caused tensions with the local government. He has been receiving threats since November, according to a reporter from Reporters Without Borders.

Earlier in August, three journalists were murdered in Mexico in a week. If it is proven that Jaramilo was also murdered, then the number of murders of Mexican journalists in 2019 is ten.
