Saws down "wrong tree"

Mattias Sparf also believes that there are forest owners who unfortunately focus on "the wrong tree" when they start to cut damaged areas.

Many times only the brown and dead trees are felled where the fir bark drill has already left the fir tree and only beneficial insects are left. In order to stop the spread of the spruce bark drill, freshly attacked green trees must also be taken care of.

In essence, infected firs are found near previous infestations.
