The region with the highest incidence of obesity in 2018 was Altai Krai, where 5,566.9 cases of obesity per 100 thousand people.

Then come the Kurgan region (2711.4 cases), the Tyumen region (2634.9), the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (2626.7) and the Orenburg Region (2319).

The lowest incidence of obesity in the last year was recorded in the Primorsky Territory - 387.6 cases per 100 thousand people.

Also among the regions with a low incidence of obesity were Kabardino-Balkaria (578.5), Moscow (588.2), Kaliningrad Oblast (618.3) and Yakutia (627).

Earlier, the Ministry of Health announced an increase in the number of patients with multiple sclerosis in Russia.

Over the past five years, the number of patients with this diagnosis has increased by almost 20 thousand people.
