It was on Tuesday that Götene Vatten and Värme issued a call to their customers in Årnäs and Österäng to boil their drinking water. It was then suspected that there were E.coli bacteria in the water.

Initially, the message was that the water could be drinkable again at the earliest on Sunday, but after Friday's analysis showed that the water was clean, the boiling recommendation was upheld.

"Since the water has never been unprofitable, but only useful with comment, we do not have to wait for the analyzes three days in a row to show that the water is completely clean," the company writes on its website.
