The committee confirmed that each member of the emirate's electoral body may submit an application to challenge the candidacy of one of the candidates to the emirate's committee, according to the form prepared for this purpose (an appeal before the National Elections Commission) during this period, together with the supporting documents. The appeal is a check in the amount of 3000 dirhams, deposited as bail with the NEC. The amount is refunded to the petitioner if the decision is made only in his favor, and is not refundable if his appeal is rejected.
