With the start and finish on Munksjön in central Jönköping, the Jönköping Marathon became a successful folk party. 2000 runners from some 40 countries were on the starting line when the starting shot went at nine o'clock on Saturday morning.
- It has been a good day, a success, says Tony Hatefnejad, one of the initiators of the year.
According to the organizer, no major illness or accident occurred.
Winners from Norrköping and Apladalen LKWon in the men's class, Mattias Ekman, Apladalen's LK, made the time 2:49:36, in the women's class was Elmina Saksi, Norrköping, first in goal with the time 3:05:04.
Regarding the half-matatone, Anna Arlbrandt, the construction company, was first above the finish line in the ladies class with the time 1:26:15. Abel Zerom, IK Sisu Nässjö was the fastest gentleman at the time 1:16:27.
