Sprinter Christophe Lemaitre finished 5th in the 200m with just the minimum required for the Doha Worlds (September 27 - October 6), while American Noah Lyles shone again on Saturday at the Diamond League meeting of Paris.

After a worrying start to the season, Lemaitre (29) completed his goal running in 20 sec 40, exactly the time requested by the International Athletics Federation (IAAF) for the Doha Worlds, while he is currently selected only on the relay 4x100 m.

Back at the beginning of July at the competition after a warning hamstring left in the spring, the bronze medalist Games 2016 had not done better this year that 20 sec 46 in Sotteville-les-Rouen July 16.

The new athletic star Noah Lyles (22) impressed again by winning the race in 19 sec 65, the meeting record, ahead of world champion Ramil Guliyev (20.01).

Lyles continues his exceptional season: he became the 4th fastest rider in history in 19 sec 50 on July 5th in Lausanne.
