Government schools receive nearly 26,000 teachers, administrators and technicians, including 15,000 in Abu Dhabi and 11,163 in the other emirates, according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Education, pending the announcement of their total numbers and details of new appointments for these groups in the new school year.
According to the calendar approved by the Ministerial Council for Development, for all state schools of various types «government and private» applied to the curriculum of the Ministry of Education for the new academic year, the first semester of all bodies of all types for the academic year 2019-2020 starts on Sunday 25 August 2019, and for students on the first of September, and will continue until December 12, to begin the winter leave for students from 15 December to 9 January 2019, for four weeks, including 20 working days, at a time when the bodies leave on December 22 and end on the second of January 2020 for two weeks, including 10 days Action.
The bodies resume all working hours, starting the second semester on January 5, 2020, while students begin on the twelfth of the same month, where they are scheduled for two weeks of spring vacation from 29 March of the same year, until April 9, compared to one week for the bodies from March 29 to April 2.
The opening of all types of bodies, in the third semester, on April 5, 2020, while students begin their semester on the same day on the twelfth of the same month, and the end of working hours for the academic year 2019-2020 for students on the second of July, and faculty, technical and administrative July 9, at a time The number of study days for this year, including the days of exams, 185 days.
For its part, the Ministry of Education has developed a systematic plan, to achieve the flow of school time and avoid any obstacles, in a way that ensures the management of educational facilities in an orderly manner, as well as the completion of the readiness of schools in all respects.
