According to party spokesman Omer Chelik, even before the acquisition of Russian S-400 systems, Turkey called the United States its terms on the cost and details of the Patriot purchase, which Washington could not fulfill.

“A new offer has come. It also did not meet our conditions for any of the basic requirements. The offer was automatically canceled due to the expiration of its validity, ”RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

At the same time, the representative of the ruling party of Turkey could not give a forecast regarding the further development of the situation around the purchase of Patriot.

“What will happen to Patriot next - we'll see,” he said.

Earlier, CNN, citing a representative of the US Department of State, reported that Washington officially withdrew its proposal to Ankara to sell Patriot instead of S-400.
