“You should not count on the fact that everything will be easy. In my opinion, it is unlikely that we will be able to keep sanctions and isolation of Russia in the future, ”the diplomat quoted Interfax-Ukraine as saying.

According to her, with the help of sanctions it was possible to stop the attack in the east of Ukraine.

“At least during these five years there were no such events as Debaltseve, like Ilovaisk. And that really was the achievement of these five years ... The isolation of these years worked to keep the situation going, ”she added.

Earlier, a Ukrainian diplomat named Roman Bezsmertny called a meeting of Russian and French leaders Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron a funeral procession for anti-Russian sanctions.

On August 19, the French MP noted that the EU should “take a course” on lifting sanctions against Russia.

Russia has repeatedly stressed that it is not a party to the conflict in Ukraine and acts as a mediator in resolving the situation.
