Prime Minister Abe arrives in France Can we unite G7? August 24 5:03

Prime Minister Abe arrived in France at dawn on the 24th to attend the G7 Summit. Amid the wide gaps in opinions among the leaders of various countries, such as free trade, Prime Minister Abe will act as a bridge and would like to show unity in the G7, including dealing with North Korea.

On the morning of the 23rd, Prime Minister Abe, who left Japan, arrived in France, where the G7 Summit = 7 major summits will be held at midnight on the 24th of Japan time.

This is the 8th time that Prime Minister Abe has attended the G7 Summit, which is the second largest number of attendees, following the 14th German Chancellor Merkel.

At this summit, opinions will be exchanged on themes such as North Korea, which repeatedly launches ballistic missiles, response to local conditions such as Iran, the world economy and trade, and the “fight against inequality”.

However, with regard to the “Declaration of Summit” that was announced annually, the chairman of President Trump and the leaders of European countries have a wide range of opinions over free trade and measures against global warming. Adoption is expected to be deferred as the country's France has indicated its intention not to be coordinated.

As Prime Minister Abe, I would like to act as a bridge with the leaders of each country, and I would like to show the unity of the G7, including the response to North Korea.
