This was the first P4 Dalarna to tell us about.

When SVT Dalarna reaches one of the parents who have been in the fight to keep the school, the noises are sad.

- We feel that we are no longer in the fight like this and that is why we decided to give up the fight and focus instead on getting a good transition for our children. When the politicians did not want to listen to us, we felt that the must have gone out, says Henrik Andersson, parent of children who attend Idkerberg's school.

In the open letter from the parents' association, which was posted on facebook, among other things, you write: “We have tried by all means to make the decision-makers understand that you are not just closing an entire school but a whole village. You do not take into account the best interests of the children. "

"Coming soon again"

A six-month struggle has thus reached its end.

- It does not feel good. We have worked hard during the entire period, even though everyone has jobs aside. We have done this for our children. I will say that we have had the support of some politicians and we have to thank for that. In two years it will be elections again and then we will see if there is any party that wants to open the school again.

The parent group will hold a meeting on the children's future

On May 15, the decision was made to close Idkerberget's school and at the turn of the year the business ceased. Therefore, the parent group intends to have a meeting on Tuesday with everyone involved and discuss where all the children should go to school.

- It is up to each individual family to decide where they want their child to go. But we were going to sit down and discuss whether to keep the group together. Much depends on how to solve it with school transfer, it is not easy for all families.
