The city building board announced this week that it has big plans for the Jägersro tramway. A real horse job is expected, as the trot track will provide space for, among other things, 3,400 new homes, schools, offices and green areas.

The plan is to also build a modern trotting plant, stables and everything else, right next to the current site. So far, however, the plans are on the drawing board and will be delayed before they are realized. Right now, however, a riding house is being built that will be ready by the end of 2020.

Jägersro - a historic place

Equestrian sport has old ancestry at Jägersro. As early as 1907 it started competing on the site, which boasts to be Sweden's first and only combined trot and canter track.
