The US Secretary of Defense, Esper, talked with South Korean defense minister Jeon Kyung-Doo on the morning of the 23rd of Japan time on the phone, and the Korean government decided to abolish the military information comprehensive protection agreement = “GSOMIA” with Japan I conveyed my concerns directly.
According to officials from the Korean Ministry of Defense, US Secretary of Defense Esper and South Korean defense minister Jeon Kyung-Doo had a telephone conference for approximately 30 minutes from 6.30 am Japan time.
Among them, Secretary Esper directly conveyed concerns to Defense Minister Chung about the Korean government's decision to abandon the comprehensive military information protection agreement = “GSOMIA” with Japan.
