The broad OMXS index stopped after the fluctuating Friday of –0.8 per cent, as did the large corporate index OMXS30. A good three shares on OMXS30 rose: the telecom company Tele2, the investment company Kinnevik and the telecom group Ericson, where the latter has otherwise had a lackluster stock market trend lately.

Worst among the heavyweights, Autoliv went since China said that special duties aimed at the US automotive industry will be imposed. The car safety company reversed 2.4 percent.

Several engineering companies also belonged to the losers. Sandvik lost 2.0 percent, Electrolux fell 1.9 percent and Volvo fell 1.5 percent.

Among Friday's major winners off the list of major companies, Mekonomen was noted: plus 16.8 percent after the automotive chain released its quarterly report.

The leading stock exchanges in Europe, which also swung during the day, closed on minus. The Frankfurt DAX index lost 1.2 percent, the Paris CAC4 index fell 1.1 percent and the London Stock Exchange's FTSE index fell 0.5 percent.

The US stock exchanges are also in minus a few hours into Friday's trading.
