Egypt ranks first in the Middle East and North Africa, ahead of Turkey and Israel, according to a new Global Firepower military ranking.

The Egyptian Air Force ranked ninth in the world with 1092 assorted warplanes, surpassing Turkey, which has 1067 aircraft and came in tenth globally, and Israel with 595 aircraft and ranked eighteenth globally.

Among the Arab countries that followed Egypt in the ranking in terms of the number of air force planes, Saudi Arabia, which came second in the Arab world and the twelfth in the world, followed by Algeria, the third Arab in the twenty-first and the UAE fourth in the Arab world in the twenty-second in the world.

The United States ranked first in the world in terms of air capacity with 13,398 aircraft, followed by Russia with 4,787 aircraft and China in third place with 3,187 aircraft.

While India ranked fourth in the world with 2082 aircraft, South Korea fifth with 1614 aircraft, France came in eighth place with 1248 aircraft and Britain in the fifteenth place with 811 warplanes variety.

The list of countries in terms of air capabilities is Liberia, which does not have any military aircraft, according to the classification, followed by Madagascar, which has two aircraft and then the Central African Republic, which has only three military aircraft.

According to the site "Global Fire Power" military that the classification included all fighter planes, interceptors, helicopters, military transport aircraft and advanced training aircraft.

The report pointed out that the superiority of a country in the number of warplanes does not mean air superiority, as it depends on the modernity of these aircraft and update its fleet from time to time to keep abreast of developments.
