Ecuador Offers Brazil's Assistance in Fighting Amazon Fire
Ecuadorian leader Lenin Moreno offered Brazilian President Jair Bolsonar assistance in fighting forest fires in the Amazon.
“During a conversation with Jair Bolsonaru proposed to provide an aircraft that will deliver three teams of Ecuadorian experts in the field of forest fires and environmental investigations that will help alleviate the tragedy in the Amazon forest,” Moreno wrote on his microblog on Twitter.
Earlier media reported that more than 75 thousand fires occurred in the Brazilian rainforests, which is a record high over the past seven years.
French leader Emmanuel Macron said that fires in the Amazon are an international crisis, and G7 countries need to discuss this issue.
