Criminals in Malmö have access to more weapons and explosives than before

Malmö has in recent years had a large number of blasts against restaurants and other commercial interests.

Explosions have mainly occurred during times when people were not expected to be in the premises, during evening hours at companies and during night time or early mornings at restaurants.

- Before, they hit each other's mouths, now it has completely changed, says Ylva Ehrlin.

In 2018, Malmö had a large incidence of hand grenades. It has slowed down recently, but the use of illegal so-called bangers has increased. In addition, a more powerful model "Cobra 20" has appeared, which contains 200 grams of pyrotechnic kit with great explosive effect, "writes the police in the compilation.

- A Cobra 20 can have different shapes, often it is copies where the batch is less than 200 grams. Then they are relatively expensive to buy online, says Ylva Ehrlin.

According to Ylva Ehrlin, it is difficult to know what types of explosives are used as they disappear when the kit explodes.

- Europol seized several tons of bangers in Poland in 2017, after which it could be seen that it was a stop, says Ylva Ehrlin

The compilation states that crime in the criminal circles has increased over the past five years.

It also shows that the various criminal groups appear to have access to more weapons and more explosives than before, pointing out that it is used in environments where other people can be harmed.
